Well...keeping up to date on a blog is harder than I thought!! I'm enjoying the "down" time of the winter season but sometimes I find it makes me lazy!
So what does a photographer do on her down time.....well I should be doing marketing and bookkeeping but I've been cleaning, organizing and purging!! Right now I'm trying to get a handle on my kids playroom. What a couple of lucky kids to have an entire room dedicated to play! I never had such a thing as a child. It benefits them but it sure benefits me as well because it keeps the toys in one area rather than scattered around the house...however toys to manage to sneak their way into other rooms from time to time.
This week I bought some new shelves from Ikea (gotta love Ikea) and my husband thought it would be a good idea to put the dog on the shelf....he didn't seem to mind at all.
This is Murry.....what a pain in the butt having a dog is...but he sure is cute! :)

Well happy Tuesday. I hope everyone had a great long weekend. We enjoyed family day by doing crafts the ENTIRE day!! I love spending time with my kids like that.

So yesterday was Valentines day and although I'm not a fan of it for my own relationship (LAME!) I love shooting Valentines Day weddings!!
Shawn and Randy got married yesterday after 18 years of "togetherness". What an awesome couple. I had a great time with them and their friends. Special thanks to Rev. D Rymarchuk of The Wedding Company of Niagara ( http://www.weddingcompanyniagara.com/ ) for performing the ceremony!!
Despite the rain and the clouds it was an awesome location at the Fallsview Marriott!!

I had a super time shooting Ross and Becky. Recently engaged they were excited to have their pics done at the Gazebo in Niagara On The Lake where Ross proposed.
So at the end of the shoot we were gabbing by the car and a butterfly landed on Becky. She was a little anti bug on her so passed it on to Ross. The butterfly just sat there forever! So I thought I'd seize the opportunity and get this shot. I told her she should get a butterfly tatoo....haha....she didn't :)

Good morning! It's a cold winter day and apparently we're in for a lot of snow!! No better time to reflect on last April.....
So I got a call from Julie who (owns Regional Limousine http://regionallimousine.com/) telling me about her top secret wedding to Nick. They wanted to get married at Niagara on the Lake at the Gazebo on the water. I LOVE doing these kinds of weddings (although I'm not a fan of having top secret secrets!) The day was perfect. The weather was beautiful and it was a Monday. What a great way to spend a Monday in April!!

Christine and Matthew
Ok...so here we are in 2013 and I'm so behind on blogging that I'm going alllll the way back to last April...I'm starting here because this couple has been on my mind lately...they are about to have a baby!!
So I have to go back a bit....In May 2008 I shot Lisa and Darryl's wedding. It was one of the memorable weddings of my career for many reasons. I felt such a connection with this family. I was truly honored to be a part of so many private emotional moments on that special day. I couldn't be more thrilled when Matthew...Lisa's brother emailed me about his upcoming wedding with Christine! Once again I was invited to spend time with this amazing family!
It was a great day....who cares about rain!! I always tell my brides not to watch the weather channel because there is nothing you can do to change the weather.
The ceremony and reception were at The Queenston Heights Restaurant. A beautiful venue that overlooks the Niagara river.
We grabbed our umbrellas and headed out to play in the rain. Just yesterday Christine sent me a message saying that Matthew said "it just doesn't feel right having our picture taken without an umbrella now"
Much luck to Matt and Christine on their exciting new adventure...parenthood!!
